What to Expect

Your child’s first class

For their first class you are invited to accompany your child. This is so you can get a feel for how the class runs, and so your child can feel comfortable. After the first week, we ask parents/carers to wait outside, and children usually focus better without the presence of parents/carers.

For their first two classes, please ensure your child is dressed in comfortable clothing (no jeans) and barefoot. After this, all children are expected to wear ballet shoes, and in the Tiny Dancers class they are permitted to wear fancy dress tutus or similar. In the Primary Class children are expected to wear pink ballet uniform, more details to be found on our uniform page.
